The complaints about office cleaning are almost never about how clean the office is. They are about noise at the wrong time, desks being disturbed, or a bin that keeps getting missed.
All three come down to the same three decisions.
Scheduling: most offices are better served before staff arrive or after they leave. Vacuuming is the noisiest part of the job, so if any of it has to happen during the day, it should be planned into a quiet slot rather than left to chance.
Access: settle who holds keys or cards, how they are returned, and who to call out of hours. Put it in writing. It prevents most of the friction that turns up later.
Scope: write down what is cleaned daily, what is weekly, and what nobody touches. Personal desks are the classic grey area — decide whether the team clears them or works around them, and tell your staff which it is.
