A move-in clean is done to an empty property, which is the one chance to reach everything before furniture arrives.

It should cover the inside of every cupboard, wardrobe and drawer; appliances inside and out, including behind them where they can be moved safely; all bathrooms and the kitchen in full; tile and grout; skirting boards, door frames, switches and sockets; vents and grilles; interior glass, frames and tracks; and finally floors, done last.

It does not cover repairs, painting, pest control or exterior facade work — those are separate trades, and a cleaning licence does not cover them.

Before the team arrives, make sure water and electricity are live, any handover snags are done, and previous occupants' belongings are gone. An empty, powered property is what makes the difference between a good result and a repeat visit.
